So many to be thankful for!

It's Thanksgiving morning, and I have so much to be thankful for.  It's amazing how when you really stop to think, and be thankful, you become overwhelmed with the gifts and blessing God has given you.  I am so thankful for His grace.  Even more, I am thankful for the people he has put in my life to help me in this journey: my husband who loves me unconditionally, even on grumpy days; my parents who have shown me the incredible beauty and blessing of a family; my sister who will forever be my best friend; Tony who always has my back; the Piccolino's and all of their laughter; aunts, uncles, and cousins near and far; my new family who have welcomed me as their own; my best girls from years past - although we now span the southern states we always come back right where we left off; Christy in DC who sometimes knows me better than myself; Amanda in Seattle who teaches me to love all of life; all of my teaching friends; William's friends who've embraced me into their group; and even my students who make every day different.  I don't know where I would be without the love, support, and guidance from these and so many others.

 HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I'm Back

Sorry for the brief hiatus.  With the Holiday Bazaar, gifted class project, remodeling the house, weddings, Halloween, and dinners with family and friends, I got a little distracted.  I'll spare you the details.  But, I'm back. :)

In the meantime, we had two new accomplishments in the kitchen!  By the way, I'm loving my new backsplash!

William made my dad's crabcakes.  He was practicing for our anniversary trip with Keith and Kristy.  Sorry, the recipe is so good and so top secret.  ;)

They were delicious and made the perfect Friday night date dinner.

And I made Jenna's blondies.  I've been reading her blog at http://www.eatliverun.com/ for about a year.  I love it!  She is such an inspiration for trying new things in the kitchen.

Last, but not least, I had a star sighting!  I met Kid Rock!  It was amazing.

Not really.  But, close enough.
